LANDSEC FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT CONTRACT
Undertaking the fire risk management and fire risk assessment on Landsec's portfolio of office space, retail and residential properties with a value of £16bn. Safety group established a scope of works in consultation with the client and managed the project from start to finish. All logistical arrangements, comunication with sites, report writing and uploading of reports on to Landsec's compliance system was managed by Safety Group giving Landsec a hassle free solution.
FUEL STORAGE SOLUTIONS GROWTH PARTNER
Fuel Storage Solutions Ltd had an objective to grow their business. They felt that their existing H&S consultant was not equipped to support them in larger tenders and projects and support a growing work force. Safety Group helped establish a H&S management system, established a training matrix, subcontractor management and monitoring activities. We also assisted with gaining Altius, CHAS, Safecontractor and Constructionline accreditations. All of this has helped Fuel Storage Solutions win more work and grow substantially over the past 3 years.
CONDITION IMPROVEMENT FUND
Safety Group was engaged to compile and submit Condition Improvement Fund bid applications for the 2019/20 bid submission. Safety Group was successful in achieving over £2m in funding for 9 schools ensuring that critical works including fire alarms, compartmentation, heating, ventilation and electrical works. Safety Group also provided Principal Designer and Project Management roles during the subsequent work packages.
PRINCIPAL DESIGNER BUDGENS OF HOLT, NORFOLK
After a major fire at the Budgens of Holt supermarket which completely destroyed the site Safety Group were engaged to act as Principal Designers for the project. This covered the demolition of what structures were left and the construction of the new site. Project value of £4m.
FIRE ENGINEERING CHOCOLATE WORKS, YORK
Safety group were engaged to act as fire engineers for the conversion of the old Terry's Chocolate works into residential apartments. Safety group provided fire engineering advice to the architects in the design and planning stages and worked with the fire service as statutory consultees. We have been instructed to conduct quality control visits during the construction phase and establish the fire strategy and a commissioning fire risk assessment prior to occupation.
H&S MANAGEMENT AUDIT BRADFORD DIOCESAN ACADEMY TRUST,
WEST YORKSHIRE
BDAT came to Safety Group wanting a way of establishing how compliant they were across their 19 Primary and secondary educational establishments. We listened to what reassurances they wanted to achieve and we created a H&S management system audit tailored to the educational environment. We commenced a programme of audits over a 2 year period which helped provide an initial GAP analysis so that immediate impact on compliance issues could be achieved and a second year where we could establish how well each school was doing in their journey.
